On Saturday, March 10, nine German students and their teachers arrived in Lycksele to visit us for a week. The Swedish students will go to Hamburg for a week in May. These are exhange visit for students who study German at Tannbergsskolan.
This spring and autumn there will also be an exchange with Norway. In May students from the Natural Science Programme here at Tannbergsskolan will go to Norway for excursions in the Norwegian natiure, and in the autumn Norwegian students will come to Lycksele to study various ecosystems.
Earlier this winter we have had visitors from Nicaragua: six teachers and a student. The teachers were teachers of natural and civic sciences, English and Spanish.
They were very interested in the way we worked here. Later on this spring teachers and students from Tannbergsskolan will go down to Nicaragua to carry on the work with a building project there.
On February 5 two students from the Hotel and Restaurant Programme went to London to do their four-week work-place training in a restaurant outside London called The Shillingford Bridge. This is a EU project within Leonardo da Vinci programme.
On February 17 - 27 we had guests from Barcelona in Spain: 21 students and two teachers from Institut Satorras in Mataró (Barcelona). They stayed with our Swedish students, took part in their lessons and in a lot of other arrangements. On April 10 it will be time for eleven students of Spanish here at Tannbergsskolan to make an exchange visit to Spain.
